College and minor league baseball make Maine even more fun in summer

The New England Collegiate Baseball League is summer college baseball at its best. Seeing a college baseball game is an evening of great summertime fun for children and families during a New England vacation. The league, consisting of 12 teams in the six New England states, starts its summer season in early June and plays an eight-week schedule of 42 games per team. The league championship is determined by a playoff in early August.

Maine’s professional minor leagues include the Portland Sea Dogs, a AA affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.

2012 Game Schedule
Broadcast: Gameday Audio; radio stations 1400 AM and 1490 WBAE AM “The Bay" will serve as the flagship station for the U.S. Cellular Sea Dogs Radio Network. Mike Antonellis returns for his fifth season with the Sea Dogs and his 13th season as a play-by-play broadcaster in Minor League Baseball. Aaron Goldsmith hosts the pre and post-game shows.
